Cobra is launching into the commercial vehicle industry at this
year's CV Show at the NEC in Birmingham from 12th to
14th April, with a range of new products aimed
specifically at the van and truck market.
It is the first time the company has had a presence at the show
and it will be showcasing a number of products, with a focus on
promoting security and safety. Pioneers of vehicle electronic
solutions and at the forefront of vehicle security and safety
technology, Cobra has been providing vehicle manufacturers with
tried and tested products for line-fit since the 1970s. Now the
company is offering real solutions for fleet operators wanting to
reduce their operating costs and assistance in meeting Duty of Care
obligations.
On the stand, Cobra will be showcasing products including Cobra
Alarms and Immobilisers, Cobra Parking Sensors, CobraTrak Stolen
Vehicle Tracking, Rear View Cameras, NSV
Bluetooth® Handsfree Systems (compatible with all
Bluetooth® enabled handsets), Cruise Control and
Speed Limiters, as well as the new Mini Coyote V2 GPS Speed Camera
Alert Device. All products are fully warranted and can be
professionally fitted by approved installers.
Andrew Smith, Managing Director of Cobra UK, says "We are now
offering benefit-led products and unrivalled expertise in
electronic solutions to the CV market. Our range of innovative
products for LCVs and HGVs offer cost efficiencies, assist with
driver safety in relation to Duty of Care responsibility and
improve vehicle security, making them a must for commercial vehicle
fleets."
World-renowned suppliers of the most advanced standard fit
vehicle security systems, Cobra's vehicle alarms and immobilisers
are all Thatcham approved and recognised by the UK's major
insurers. The range includes the 4400 Series of Thatcham 2-1
approved CAN integrated alarms, which are fully compatible with OE
immobilisers and a wide range of commercial vehicle applications,
along with non CAN alarms.
Cobra's ParkMaster range of parking sensors can help protect the
fleet investment and avoid costly damage, expensive time off the
road, pedestrian injury and possible litigation in turn
collectively reducing operating costs. These are quality OE
standard products and can be painted to match the colour of the
vehicle.
Cobra's CobraTrak Stolen Vehicle Tracking Systems will also be
showcased at the CV Show. With an estimated 300,000 vehicles stolen
every year, the UK is the worst affected country in Europe.
CobraTrak uses the latest GPS / GPRS / GSM technology to locate a
vehicle to within 10 metres.
Cobra's network of 24 hour monitoring centres across 36 European
countries, Russia and South Africa commence live tracking when a
theft is reported and liaise with police authorities in local
language to recover the vehicle quickly and undamaged.
Aside from the obvious financial implications of losing a
vehicle, truck theft can damage confidence in an operator's ability
to deliver loads securely and on time, which could result in the
loss of further haulage contracts and potentially destroy a
business overnight.
Also being exhibited on the stand at the CV Show will be Cobra's
Cruise Control product, which improves fuel economy and reduces
CO2 emissions. It offers a fully digital solution, plug
and play installation and comes with a speed limiter option.
Ultimately, speed limiters improve driver safety and can help
fleets comply with Duty of Care regulations.
In addition Cobra will be demonstrating its NSV
Bluetooth® Handsfree Systems, designed to
integrate perfectly into any vehicle with OE style switchgear, and
compatible with any Bluetooth® enabled handset.
With plug and play installation, hands free operation and voice
dialling activation, drivers can drive safely and legally.
