Cobra UK's stand was constantly busy at last week's CV Show,
with transport operators showing a real interest in how Cobra's
mobile CCTV real-time security monitoring system, Global Live, can
help them fight the growing problem of freight crime in the UK.
80% of enquiries at the telematics, safety and security
supplier's stand were for the ground breaking system, proving that
operators are having to act to protect their assets, loads and
people. Cobra did over 100 live demonstrations at the stand to show
MDs, Directors and Transport Managers how the system works.
Cobra was surprised at the diversity of enquiries for the
product. Companies interested in adopting the mobile CCTV
monitoring system ranged from a second hand clothes transporter,
who had experienced several instances of load interception; to a
company transporting valuable works of art; to an airport operator
responsible for delivering imports and exports in and out of the
country; and even a company responsible for the delivery of
agricultural machinery in Europe.
Global Live boasts unique live image streaming via low cost 3G
networks, and combined with GPS tracking enables pinpoint location
of any vehicle at any time. The new CCTV-based telematics system
allows operators to literally watch over their vehicles 24/7
whether they're out on the road or parked, and should an event
occur, enables businesses to react immediately and intervene in
real time.
"Footfall at this year's CV Show was exceptionally high
and our stand was busy from day one - we made some fantastic
contacts! Global Live offers a unique solution to help address the
growing problem of freight crime," said Andrew Smith, Managing
Director, Cobra UK Ltd.
