Cobra UK is to become the sole supplier
of
stolen vehicle tracking systems to Audi, further strengthening
the successful relationship that has already been forged between
the two brands, and emphasising the commitment to quality and
continual product development that Cobra UK shares with the leading
German automotive manufacturer.
All CobraTrak systems
are Thatcham accredited and use GPS/GSM technology with a unique
roaming SIM card, which connects to the best available network
wherever GSM operates. This provides coverage across more than 180
countries, which is vital as many vehicles are stolen to order and
deliberately targeted for shipment abroad.
CobraTrak systems are designed and
manufactured in state-of-the-art production facilities in Varese,
Italy. The robust yet lightweight systems are covertly installed
into vehicles by Cobra-trained technicians. With Secure Operating
Centres across 36 European countries plus Russia, Cobra is able to
liaise with police in their local language, ensuring excellent
communication and recovery rates.
"We are delighted to be appointed by
Audi as its stolen vehicle tracking partner and it means a great
deal to Cobra to be selected as sole supplier," said Andrew Smith,
Managing Director, Cobra UK. "We have forged a strong relationship
with Audi and, like them, we pride ourselves in producing
high-quality and technologically advanced
products."
Rob Morris, Accessories Manager, Audi
Product Marketing commented: "Cobra's experience in
the vehicle security industry is unsurpassed and
they are an important strategic supplier of stolen vehicle
recovery systems in the UK. Their range of high-quality and
innovative products, combined with their outstanding customer
service and excellent pan-European coverage, makes
them an ideal partner for the Audi brand."
Branded for Audi as
Audi CobraTrak, Cobra is now the only approved tracking
system supplier for the Audi range.
