Thatcham Category 5

Thatcham's Category 5 criteria has been developed to help combat the increasingly inventive methods that vehicle thieves have had to turn to, such as 'key theft.'

Developed over a two year period in partnership with ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) and various other industry bodies, this criteria will allow the fitting of insurance industry approved systems to vehicles, harnessing the power of telematics to alert owners of a crime against them and guide the police in the prompt recovery of the vehicle.
